Sergio Ochoa’s L633 VW Blue ’67 Beetle

Back in 1973 I bought a 1967 vintage VW beetle for $500.00 from a friend when going to UM. I had the Beetle for a year or so and trade it for a 68 VW bus. Then I had a squareback VW 65 and a Fastback VW 69.

Sold all of them and had many great cars for the past 47 yrs. But for the past 30 yrs I have been looking for another 67 beetle in great condition and affordable. But most of all VW beetles are modified and rarely you see an original stock.

Finally 2 months ago, I found one in Miami as the one that I was looking for. Original with the chrome filler in the front and rear glass, opening side windows, stock Becker radio and so on. So the price was right and I bought it. I specialize in restoring and selling Classic Mini Coopers which I enjoy a lot. But the vintage VW beetle really stole my heart and I drive it daily since I bought it. Original 72,300 miles. Great memories again and I really feel like I’m back in the 60’s 70’s. I know the 67 was the best year and fortunately I have one blue one again to enjoy for a long time to come.
