Hello, I'm Eric. I started Air-Cooled Artifacts (previously, 1967beetle.com and Lane Russell). I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.

  1. Wow, this is some serious restoring. Nice! Keep up the good work!

  2. i was impressed that anyone would attempt such a restoration–Gareth says that in the UK a person normally can expect to replace the first 3 inches of a Beetle when restoring! Robin Snook and Peter Ferguson were very fortunate to have found ’67s that needed far less fabrication. Kudos to Gareth for this fabulous job. I can’t wait to see the completed car! jay

    1. Sorry about the name mixup, guys. Fixed.

  3. Gareth,
I’m impressed! You Brits are gutsy guys. You finish this resto and we’re going to call you The King of Wales. Keep us posted on this project.

  4. hi Gareth, can I ask where did you get the RHD grey rubber mat? they look really new. i have a RHD 1300 67 Fontana Grey i am restoring. thanks

  5. Gareth,

great work. Looking forward to seeing the Java greens progress. You will love driving a Java green round sunny Wales.
