Off to Paint, L620 Savanna Beige ’67 Beetle

If you’re ever wanted to see what a ’67 Beetle looks like when it gets stripped down for paint, here’s your chance. This L620 Savanna Beige beauty will be sitting in a paint booth being brought back to it’s former glory by the time you read this article. Enjoy the detailed photos below. Thanks to good NY pal Chris Vallone of Classic VW Bugs for sharing.

This has to be one of the most original L620 Savanna Beige ’67 Beetles I’ve ever seen. Chris and I were talking earlier today and he mentioned how the car came apart very easily. No cancer areas, no hidden mess etc. It’s rare these cars are in such great shape before restoration. Chris plans to have it repainted the correct L620 Savanna Beige color.

Such a time capsule. Don’t you agree?
