Gavin LaMaide’s L282 Lotus White ’67 Beetle

Our good friend, Gavin LaMaide sent this gem over earlier this morning. It looks like he had a great time with the Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Club! Thanks to all around the world that support Lane Russell.

As Jay and I always say, it’s the ’67 Beetle community that makes 1967beetle.com what it is. Thank you!

Hello, I'm Eric. I started Air-Cooled Artifacts (previously, 1967beetle.com and Lane Russell). I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.

  1. GREAT VIDEO………….. what a wonderful road trip.
Just a reminder to all Southern Cal Beetle owners: June 17th, Costa Mesa Fair grounds. The “Classic” Bug-o-rama. See you there.

  2. Gavin–you did a great job with this video. Neva and I were riding along with you really enjoying the scenery and the comments. Driving all of those miles (over 500 total) reminds us that these Beetles are, as Neva says…”tough!. They can take it”. Thanks for giving us a couple of days from your life! jay

  3. Great job Gavin. These shows can be so much fun and rewarding.

  4. I am so pleased you enjoyed the video. It was important to me in making the video to let the Beetle engine, wipers and radio do the narration. It goes without saying it was a very pleasant (500 mile) road trip with no mechanical issues at all! Thank You Eric for posting the video, it’s a privilege to share and be appreciated by such astute connoisseurs.

  5. Thx, guys. Good one, Gavin.

  6. Outstanding video Gavin, Going on road trip with our 67’s is always a get experience. Thanks again for doing such a great job with the video.

  7. Hi. I’m late to the party. Is the video still available?
