SOLD — L456 Ruby Red ’67 Beetle

FOR SALE: L456 Ruby Red '67 Beetle

This L456 Ruby Red ’67 Beetle is a local Alameda, CA car. In fact, it’s only a few blocks from 1967beetle.com. I’ll admit, I have stalked this car many times. Here’s the info from the seller.

“This fantastic ’67 Beetle has a really nice 1641cc (built by our friends at The Buggy House), dual kadrons, new electronic ignition, front disc brakes and is the first year of 12V.

I bought this ’67 May of last year on my birthday. It’s just like the one my Mom had when I was a kid. I love it (and want to keep it), but I need to invest in my small business (new industrial sewing machine). The speedo isn’t working, but should be simple to fix.”

Mileage: 4,327 (speedo needs to be fixed)

Wow, nice engine! Not stock, but respectable and much safer on the highway than my single port 1500.

  1. Ruby red! This is one sweet ride! I think it will be sold in 24 hours.

    1. Yeah, it’s a nice car!

  2. I’m amazed this car isn’t sold yet..

    1. I’m sure it will soon.

  3. I’m thinking $6k. That bigger engine in such a stock car does not make sense.

    1. Doug,
To each his own. The seller might have needed more power on the highway, etc. it’s a nice car.
