Spotted on eBay, this L456 ruby red ’67 Beetle is in very respectable condition. The restoration work looks like it was done well. I love the radio block off plate and other period correct details.

Being a purist, I do see a few things that are not 100% correct. (Front fenders, seat covers, fuel filter in the engine etc.) However, they can be easily fixed. If not, simply bump the key and enjoy all the smiles and thumbs up.

I’ve seen this ’67 around the LA area. It’s a really nice car. I just recently found 1967beetle.com. You’ve got a great thing going here. Keep it up.
Thanks for reading!
Maybe its just my old eyes, but the color doesn’t look right !?
I want to like this car…………..but, if you’re not going to do it right, don’t do it all. This is “Ruby Red” http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=277214
Looks decent to me. :)
Good looking car, but I’m always suspicious of the low “original miles” claims. Seems like if it’s a 50 year old car, it’s going to have rolled the odometer at least once. I also agree with Mike – the car looks too red for “ruby”, but that could just be camera processing.
What color was the original fender beading on a L456 car? The beading looks identical to the paint color here, and I recall they’re typically a complementary but contrasting color.
after looking at pics full size on eBay, the fender beading does look correct. However, I wonder where the oil breather hose is connected to, and where are those pre-heat tubes? :)
Agreed. I hope they took those off for the photos. :)

Still like the car.
Same.
