Recently sent over to 1967beetle.com, this ’67 is a fantastic car with a unique history. I’ll let Jim take it from here.
Hi 1967beetle.com, how are you? Best holiday wishes.
I don’t know if you remember me, I am friends with Sean Plunkett. I used to work @ Buggy House in the 1990’s. Anyway this is my ’67 I’ve owned since 1986. It was the car I learned to drive in, back when I was 16.
I recently semi-restored the car (paint etc). My 5 year old son chose the color, 1997 Porsche Zenitblau Metallic. Engine is 2165cc with Weber 48IDA, Clyde Berg heads, 9.9:1, which I built. The car is used on a pretty regular basis to take my son to school, commute to work and for weekend mind clearing. It’s a Der Kleiner Panzers III car since 2006. Anyway I just wanted to share the progress on the car.
Take care!
Thanks, Jim, for sharing your ’67 with 1967beetle.com.
Diggin this 67.
I’d agree, and you know me. :)
It is a very nice build.
That’s a nice, long history with the car, Jim! One of the original intents by Porsche was to have a family car that an owner could maintain himself. How good it is to see this still happening. Thanks for letting us hear from you! jay
Agreed!
