These 70MM gas caps are original German and VW stamped. They are taken down to bare metal and painted in the correct factory L91 silver. A new German cork seal is also included. They are ready to install on your vintage Volkswagen. Fits VWs from 1961-1967. I always love seeing the German stamped VW emblem paired w/ the correct gas tank.
A good way to also tell if your gas tank has been replaced incorrectly is the cap. Smaller cap w no logo? Not 7MM? Yep, you may want to source the correct tank. I too went through this with the restoration of our family ’67 Beetle.
