Hello, ‘67 Beetle community. In continuation from my earlier mention of us relocating back to Atlanta, GA, I’m hoping to find this special license plate frame set. When my Grandpa purchased our ’67 Beetle new, it came from Crain Daly Volkswagen which was located off Piedmont Road in Atlanta, GA. This dealership is long gone. However, it would mean a lot to me if I’m able to locate them.
Do you by chance have this frame or possibly a set? If so, please contact me!
Also, take a look below. My Grandpa kept all the original documents from his purchase. Talk about a time capsule. It’s another reason this car will forever remain in my family.
As I’ve mentioned many times before, our ’67 Beetle means a lot to me as it’s a symbol of my family history. Do you know the history of your own vintage VW?

Eric, when you get to Atlanta just try hitting yard sales thrift stores, etc.
I’ve sifted thru many “sales”, this kind of thing is almost free with some luck and patience.
Gavin. Thanks. That’s a good idea as well. For the sake of time, I’m hoping that the all mighty internet can help turn something up. I’m willing to pay a fair price for them. Anyone?
Eric, to give you an idea, I was able to locate a NOS Dealer Frame for my 67. Same as your situation, dealership long gone.
Found them on eBay. I paid $120 for the pair.
Kevin. Well.. You’re a bit lucky because it seems the CA plates are much easier to find. I’m having doubts these will ever surface.
Did you ever find your license plate frames?
Believe it or not… YES.. But, I’d buy another if you have it.
AWESOME! I’m glad you found it!
If I had one, I would probably put it on my beetle! :-)
Bill Treadway here- I think I like Gavin’s idea. That area of town, Buckhead that is, while known for being as uppity as they come- always has a wealth of garage sales. It might make ya crazy… but your wife might just love ya too! Crain Daly was near the Piedmont Peachtree split as I recall.
