Your ’67 Beetle looks like it has spent one too many summers in the Arizona desert. Faded and tired, it’s time to consider a fresh paint job to bring it back to its former glory. Below is detailed information on the correct paint color schemes for VW Beetles from 1959 to — of course, your favorite year — 1967.

    Hi Eric, painting my 67 Beetle L31 Dove Blue. I am wondering if anyone has ever done a paint match in the Martin Senour brand paint? Have checked all color look up sites but I can’t find anything?

      Hello. I wish it were that easy. These paint colors are no longer made. The best you can do is go to a shop and see if they can match from a new color code.

    Anyone notice how Lotus White can look very different depending on the lighting or amount of sunlight. I think mine looks beige sometimes. Also, some pictures of cars online seem to confirm how mine looks and some online look more plain white.

    I have a 1967 VW. However, years ago I owned a 1959-60 (bought new in Jan of 1960) I am trying to get my 67 repainted the same color as the old 59-60. I am unable to find where I can get the proper code and comparison slates. It looks like you may have what I have been searching for. Can you help me in this regard????

    Where is the badge or plate with the color code on a 67? Mine is white now but looks like it was originally red. Thanks

      Hello, Bill. It is likely that the original Color Code Decal has been removed–especially since you tell us that the car has been repainted in a different color. It would have been affixed just below the Windshield Washer Bottle–behind the Spare Tire. Contact LaneRussell for the correct Color Code Decal for your car. jay
