Air-Cooled Artifacts – Reviving Classic Volkswagens

Hello,

The next time you visit our online shop, you’ll notice a fresh look and a new name for our company — Air-Cooled Artifacts.

When my wife and I first started Lane Russell in 2009, we thought it would be fun to use our middle names for our business name (she is Amanda Lane, and I’m Eric Russell). It worked at the time, but over the years, we’ve dreamed about a brand that would more clearly convey the work that we do, which is classic Volkswagen restoration.

We love our new name because many of the parts I restore are quite literally artifacts! I thoroughly enjoy reviving these old components and helping customers like you restore your vintage VW. Rest assured, we’re still the same small business run by the same friendly folks.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me directly. And let us know what you think of our new name!

Thank you for your support!

Hello, I'm Eric. I started Air-Cooled Artifacts (previously, 1967beetle.com and Lane Russell). I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.
