1967 Beetle Owners & The Vintage Treffen Cruise

It has come to our attention that several Readers of 1967beetle.com are driving the Treffen Border-to-Border Cruise the latter part of July.

Already three Readers have connected Online and will try to meet and become acquainted during the Cruise.

What we needed was a Common Contact during the Cruise. Soooooo…

Ron and Diane Waller, Phoenix, AZ, are having their Beetle shipped to Vancouver, WA. From there, they will drive the Treffen all the way to San Diego. Ron has offered to be The Contact for Readers of 1967beetle.com.

If you are driving your 1967 Beetle ON ANY PART of the Cruise, please contact Ron in the following manners:

My wife, Neva, and I have been driving and working on VWs for over 41 years. In fact, we raised our family in these cars. Now, we are retired and enjoy VWs as a hobby. The ’67 Beetle always has been our favorite year. We own a '67 Beetle and a '68 Karmann Ghia.

  1. So good, Jay! Thanks, Ron for helping others connect. Semper Fi.

  2. Come one, come all! Looks like fun and a great way to meet people. This is the 19th year this event has taken place. Treffen 2017 starts in Port Angeles, WA on July 21. Diane and I are shipping our cars to Vancouver, WA and hooking up with Treffen in Astoria, Oregon. We will be finishing with the group in San Diego on July 30.

We are doing it with another couple (1971 Beetle) and then driving back to Phoenix. That last leg will be long and HOT!

    Hope to hear from you!

  3. Great! I usually meet up with the group and take photos in Oceanside (north San Diego) to cruise south. I might go farther north as my starting point this year and capture more of the cruise.
Come on out Eric! Ride with me.

  6. Hello, West Coast Readers of 1967beetle.com! I am excited to see how many of you and others who can participate from nearby States can connect during the Treffen. What a neat opportunity. Even if you can make only a portion of the trip–it will be worth the effort. Go ’67 Community! jay salser
