Hello, I'm Eric. I started 1967beetle.com. I also own Lane Russell, a leading supplier of VW parts for your classic Volkswagen restoration. I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.

If I am correct, this picture was taken by Volkswagen and it was used in a commercial or a brochure, it was taken to demonstrate the simplicity of the Volkswagen and the availability of Volkswagen parts. They took many pictures like this with different years and different layouts of all the parts, but this one is a 1967.

    2. I don’t believe this one is a ’67. Wrong decklid, white steering wheel, spot on front tunnel for heater control knob (rather than levers), bumpers have overriders but no upper bars, headlights are pre-66, I *think* the door handles are wrong.

  2. I got a rare ’67 Beetle, Right hand drive , imported from Germany in ’66 to South Africa. Clutch needs doing and would make a fantastic re-furb job. Only $2 600 , I have all the original paper work.
I live in Cape Town , South Africa.

  3. Its a 1965. VW also did this same photo for 1966. They changed the wheels and hubcaps, interior, shocks and etc. I can email you the photo Eric . I have yet to see one for 1967.
