      Great! 1 set spoken for.

  2. Yes I would but it does depend on the price. If they are over priced then not.

    1. Bob,
This is going to be based on what we can source them for. We will do our best to offer them at a fair price.

  3. As said by the other chap I’ll take four if they are not crazy priced. I’d pay ten bucks a pop , maximim.

    1. Hank,
Thanks for the note. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer them for that. They are more expensive than that for us to source. They have become rare birds. However, we will do our best to offer them at a fair market price.

      1. That’s a good reply….when you said a mass of them I thought you’d sourced a forgotten stash of hundreds and hundreds. I dare say there aren’t that many 67’s out there so selling that many won’t be a cake walk. Hence I came up with ten bucks. I’d go more but how much not sure…now…

        1. Hank,
No, not that many at all.. “Mass” may have been the wrong word.

  4. These are very cool, but price is the determinating factor for me.

    1. Phil,
Thanks for the comment. We will have a better idea later today on price.

  5. Yes I’m interested but have the same question as Phil. Let us know what kind of price we are looking at.

    1. Hey folks, give Shoemaker an idea of what you’d pay…that would help him out I think…

      Reply

      1. That would be great. As you all probably know, ’67 bubblehead frames have become very hard to find.

    1. Also.. We are talking maybe 20 sets. So…. Again, “Mass” might have been the wrong word.

      Reply

      1. Looking over the thread again, maybe mass is correct if they are so rare only one or two come up per year.
Let me back up a bit. I obviously acted to quickly as I did not understand the situation.
Am I correct in concluding that a set consists of two frames, one for front bumper and one for engine lid and that both frames are identical?
        Are they NOS or repops?
I am in Canada, so have to add in 25% to whatever dollar selling price you settle on, plus I have to add in shipping costs.
Please mull over my questions and I’ll recommit.

        1. Hank,
They are indeed rare. As I mentioned before, we will do our best to offer them at a fair price. We will know more soon, and I’ll post that information.

  8. I don’t know the history of the bubblehead guy. Is he significant?

  9. Would you consider selling per unit vs per set as some of us only want one?

    1. Bob,
Yes. I actually have an NOS single frame right now on our site.

  10. I’m in Eric, how many times have people asked”us” what year is our beetle? This would stop at least the readers from asking.

Wanted to share here a bad experience on EBay buying a NOS Volkswagen leather key fob from a guy in Turkey who claimed he bought a bunch of them from a old VW dealership. When I received it, it was anything but an old part. Packaging, the leather itself, and the key ring obviously we’re not old. Nice fake but overpriced for what it was. eBay went after the guy and got my money back, but I lost a little on the return shipping back to Istanbul. The Turks are excellent leather fabricators of all sorts of things, so beware of something made of leather from there.

    1. That’s a bummer, Todd. I’ve dealt in NOS parts before. No tracking, no emails. Just a dirty box shows up that looked like it came on a camel. It’s always a risk.

  26. Hi Eric, I already own a set but I would be interested in picking an extra up an extra set depending on the cost. I can’t believe you came across these frames! It took me about a year and a half to find my set and they weren’t cheap! I bought them from a guy in Idaho brand new OG still unopened. He bought them 15 years ago to restore his 67 Ghia, but he was in an accident and was never able to complete his resto unfortunately. So I am very much interested!
