Touch Base – Back in Stock – Restored Bosch Short Coils

First off, I want to take this time to check in with the ’67 Beetle community. How’s everyone doing? Staying at home, healthy? On this end, we’re doing everything we can. COVID-19 is something (in my lifetime) we have not experienced.

Please chime in below and say hello in the comments. We’ve been mostly indoors, and some digital human contact would be fantastic.

In some happier, period correct news, I’ve been able to locate more German Bosch Short Coils for proper restoration.

If you want your ’67 Beetle coil to be the correct factory unit, we finally have more available. A restored German coil bracket is also included, taken down to bare metal and painted in the correct L91 silver.

Status: FOR SALE
Price: Purchase at Lane Russell Vintage VW
Contact: Eric Shoemaker

We also have a LOT of items on closeout, as we evolve our business model to focusing on properly restored German engine components.

Stay safe, everyone!

The Finishing Touches for Your Vintage Volkswagen™

Posted by Eric Shoemaker

Hello, I'm Eric. I started 1967beetle.com. I also own Lane Russell, a leading supplier of VW parts for your classic Volkswagen restoration. I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.

  1. I’d love to be able to share some amazing stories of my experiences with my beloved ’67 but since I have only one faded slide photo of it I guess I won’t be able to verify I ever owned one. Maybe the exception fairy will have mercy on me!

  4. I saw it coming a couple of weeks ago and bought some extra beans & rice. We are set for the duration. Contented in our nest. May you all stay healthy in mind and body is our prayer for you. Neva & Jay Salser

  5. I’ll appreciate that sentiment and prayer and share it back at you guys. In a world of isolation in good times this is an unprecedented time for all regardless of the side of the border you reside on. Stay healthy and know that in time the world will heal. Friendships and shared spirit never depart regardless of where we may stray. Take good care all and your families.

  6. Hello Everyone,
We are hunkered down out here in Santa Monica
where its been cloudy and rainy.
I haven’t had a chance to see my bug in a month
    since its in another garage.
Looking forward to sunny days ahead.
    Hang in there!

  7. Stay healthy. My biggest challenge is boredom. At least we have our cars to work on. Keep smiling.

Started my project with my 67, with plenty of time on my hands at the present time.No excuses not to get on it. Hopefully we all follow the rules and get past this virus. Glad I found this group

  10. Hey Eric – Yep, chilling at home like everyone else. Mom and dad trying both trying to work remote while also keeping a 6-year old occupied. Good times.
