Since I bought my ’67 Bug just a short two months ago, I’ve been digging around The Samba, this website, and many other online resources trying to find out everything I can about the venerable Type 1. In addition, I’ve found myself reading a lot of dead trees material: Muir, Bentley, and historical books about Volkswagen in general (my favorite so far is Thinking Small). I find myself loving to work on the car – my day job is sitting behind a desk working on a computer (like so many others!), that I find getting grease under my nails and cranking on a wrench such a rewarding activity.
I’ve learned a ton, and to help the community in return, I asked Eric if he would mind me writing guest posts here every now and then, and he graciously accepted. Most of what I post will probably be little tips & tricks, information on identifying correct ’67 parts, and maybe a few little repair guides every now and again.
If there’s more you’d like to find out about me, just ask via e-mail or twitter or Facebook. You can find my ’67, Felix the Beetle, on Facebook. I look forward to hopefully helping others learn from my research and mistakes!
