Tim Mossman’s ’67 Beetle

Tim Mossman’s fantastic ’67 Beetle was recently showcased here at 1967beetle.com. He just sent these photos from North Vancouver, BC and I thought I’d share.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Hop in your vintage pride and joy and take it out for a Saturday drive.

Registering CA YOM Plates, Part 1

Let’s face it, nothing sets apart a vintage Volkswagen like a set of black gold. What I’m talking about are the correct black and gold lettered plates for a ’67 Beetle. The info on the CA YOM program was submited by a reader of 1967beetle.com, Mike Buettell. A huge thanks to him for taking the time to compose such a valuable article.

1967beetle.com — New Advertisers

I’d like to take this time to welcome a new advertiser to 1967beetle.com.

  • Finish Your Plates –  “Hello. I’m Brian Mabry. I’ve been restoring vintage license plates since 2006 and really enjoy it. It’s come a long way since then. It’s also rewarding to see my restorations on the hottest rides across the country.”

SOLD — L282 lotus white ’67 Beetle

Spotted on eBay, this L282 lotus white ’67 Beetle is in respectable condition. I like the rear speaker accessory. If you’re a follower of 1967beetle.com, you probably know that a stock ’67 vintage Volkswagen will always bring a higher value than one that is not stock.

Cascade Kombis vintage meet — ’67 Beetles

Just returned home from an excellent day with the Cascade Kombis at their annual Vintage Meet event. With over 180 air cooled VWs in attendance, the ’67 model year had a good showing. There were three (!) ’67 verts, and a handful of ’67 sedans.

I snapped this picture of Felix the Beetle in front of the line of pre-68 square window bugs. Alas, no ’67s won awards today, but I’m happy to report that none of the Volksrods there were ’67s.
