Advanced VW – Decatur, GA

Atlanta to Decatur on my Bike

I’d like to take this moment to thank Bobby at Advanced VW in Decatur, GA for rebuilding my engine back in 2006. I was in the infant stages of my restoration, and Bobby took the time to educate me about keeping the original engine in the car. Now if only I would not have tossed that German tire jack when I was cleaning out the trunk area! Thanks again Bobby for all your help. Advanced VW can be reached at: 404-373-7963

Classic VW Bugs Mentions 1967beetle.com

A big thanks to Chris Vallone for his recent mention of my ’67 oil bath air cleaners that I restore. I take a lot of pride in this work.

You can watch that video in its entirety here.

Friendship – Chris Vallone

I’ve been meaning to write about my friendship with good pal Chris Vallone. Today, I received his new newsletter that pretty much sums it up:

“I bumped into Eric on the Web sometime back a year or two ago. We have a lot in common, went to school for art, and got crazy about VWs.

He and his wife live in San Francisco, CA which is the mecca of dry VWs. Eric did an interview on me back in January of this year.

He has continued his interviews with others in the industry as well, take a peek on his site 1967Beetle.com

2011 Alameda Classic Car Show

The 18th Annual Park Street Classic Car Show took place on Saturday, October 8. More than 400 classic vehicles were on display in Alameda’s historic downtown district. Classic cars of every description lined Park Street between Encinal Ave and Buena Vista Ave — Vintage Show Cars, Roadsters, Coupes, Hot Rods, Antique Muscle Cars, and more. Most of the cars come from those magical decades — the ’50s and the ’60s. But there were plenty of classics from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s along with muscle cars from the ’70s.
