The Finishing Touches for Your Vintage Volkswagen™

Posted by Eric Shoemaker

Hello, I'm Eric. I started 1967beetle.com. I also own Lane Russell, a leading supplier of VW parts for your classic Volkswagen restoration. I drive a '67 Beetle daily and love to share vintage Volkswagen stories with the world.

  1. Hey. I live in Texas and just found this site. Fantastic content!

  2. Works fine in Windows Phone as well :)

  3. Try looking at The Samba on a mobile device. :)

    1. Yeah, I wish Everett would upgrade his rev of BB to be able to use tapatalk.. I asked him about that a few years ago: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=407740

      1. I’ve asked him a lot of things in terms of making updates. The site is a fantastic global resource, hands down. But it’s good to add new things and evolve with the times. Then again, Craigslist hasn’t changed. Hmm..

        1. Yeah, I know more than a few of us have tossed around the idea of spinning up new Vanagon-specific sites, but I just can’t fathom getting the critical mass away from TheSamba. I think it works enough as-is that it would need something really compelling to get people away from it. (note that I’m not advocating at all people moving away from TS – I love it. :))

          1. No, I totally agree. I love TS. What he’s created for the community is fantastic. I don’t think this site will ever scale to that because it’s ’67 specific. That’s not my goal. I also have to thank my wife for programming. She’s the one who gets all the credit for the back end etc. http://capturinglight.com/about
